Faced with the prospect of limping around with a cane for a couple of years, Lynne Kaine is thankful for a new Horizon Health program aimed at cutting down wait times for procedures like hip replacements.

When Kaine injured her hip a local specialist told her it could take two years to get a replacement surgery in Saint John. But in Campbellton, it only took three months because of the Centralized Optimization Referral and Evaluation (CORE) clinics launched earlier this year.
