The company Nalagx has been offered a 1,500-acre parcel of Crown land on the outskirts of the municipalities of Belledune and Heron Bay as a potential lease area.
Belledune Mayor Mario LaPointe said Nalagx briefed municipal officials about two months ago on their plans, which became public this week.
The land identified for the plant is outside the municipal boundaries of Belledune and in the Restigouche Rural District,
