New Brunswick RCMP are investigating a 34-year-old man’s death as a homicide, after he was found Wednesday night with serious injuries outside a Moncton shelter.

Officers found 34-year-old Zachary Pollock on St. George Street around 11:50 p.m., after a report of a seriously injured man, according to a news release.

On Thursday, police activity and cleanup could be seen on St. George Street around the parking lot of the Bridge to Home Resource Hub and Emergency Homeless Shelter, run by the John Howard Society of Southeastern New Brunswick.

“Life-saving measures were performed, and he was transported to hospital with critical injuries,” the release said.

“He later died in hospital as a result of his injuries.”
