According to New Brunswick’s 511, which shows road conditions and closures for provincial highways, Highway 1 between Hampton and Quispamsis is expected to be closed until 6 p.m. Thursday.
As of about 7 p.m. Wednesday, Cpl. Jullie Rogers-Marsh said the driver of the truck had minor injuries and there was no concern of a spill or leak.
But shortly after 10 p.m., New Brunswick’s Emergency Measures Organization posted that it was on the scene of a fuel spill.
“Both eastbound and westbound lanes are currently closed between kilometer markers 142 and 158 while remediation work is being carried out,” the Facebook post read.
