Leandra Beaulieu, 36, is charged with first-degree murder. It’s alleged she killed Price, 39, on Feb. 14 in Moncton.
Beaulieu appeared in Moncton provincial court by phone Thursday morning from the New Brunswick Women’s Correctional Centre, a jail near Miramichi where she’s being held.
Defence lawyer Sylvain Pelletier said he will be representing Beaulieu. Pelletier asked Judge Brigitte Volpé for a one-month adjournment to allow time to go through the prosecution’s evidence.
The defence lawyer said the intent is to schedule a preliminary inquiry when Beaulieu returns to court.
