Roger Hilyard Crossman, 65, pleaded guilty last week in Moncton court to second-degree murder, as well as improperly or indecently interfering with a body.

Crossman was set to stand trial over five weeks starting Oct. 19 on a charge of first-degree murder, a charge that alleges the homicide was planned and deliberate.
