Two people accused of second-degree murder in the death of 39-year-old Melissa Price have had dates set for a preliminary inquiry.
Leandra Beaulieu, 36, and Devlin O’Blenis, 35, appeared together in a Moncton courtroom on Thursday. This was the first appearance since the two accused had their separate charges converted to a joint charge and reduced from first-degree murder earlier in May.
Price’s body was found in a garbage bin on a residential street in Moncton on Feb. 15, and it’s alleged she was killed the previous day.
O’Blenis was charged first, on March 12, while Beaulieu was charged two weeks later on March 26.
Police have not said how Price died or how she may have known the accused.
