After identifying a woman’s body found years ago in a house being demolished, Niagara police now believe her death was a homicide and are looking for people who knew her in the 1990s.
Police say Brenda Marie Leblanc, born in 1963 in New Brunswick, was in her thirties in the 1990s, a period during which she lived in both Niagara Falls and St. Catharines. Her remains were found in a house at 7081 Stanley Ave. in Niagara Falls in November 2023 during the vacant home’s demolition.
“Her connection to the residence remains unknown,” police said in a statement issued Wednesday.
