A bronze maple leaf — part of a memorial in Moncton to three RCMP officers killed in a 2014 shooting — has been stolen, police say.
Codiac RCMP said in a news release that they believe the theft occurred sometime between Aug. 7 and Aug. 12.
The memorial is in the Honour Garden, in Moncton’s Riverside Park along Assomption Boulevard. It includes three statues of the RCMP officers as well as a dozen bronze maple leaves displayed around the base of the memorial.
The three statues are of Const. Douglas Larche, Const. Dave Ross and Const. Fabrice Gevaudan, who were all killed in the shooting.
