Some New Brunswick alcohol producers say they’re struggling to keep up with an increased demand for their products that’s been fuelled by U.S. tariffs and a resulting surge in supporting local.

Devon Strang, co-owner of Blue Roof Distillers in the southeastern community of Malden, says sales have gone up nearly 60 per cent since the province removed U.S.-made liquor from the shelves.

But he still can’t afford to expand his production facilities to make more gin, vodka, rum and coolers.
