A non-profit in New Brunswick that works to support human trafficking victims and sex workers is hoping that newly announced federal funding will help their organization and others.
At Community of Hope in Moncton, Maggie is working 40 hours a week as an unpaid volunteer. CBC News agreed to just use her first name for safety reasons.
Community of Hope’s drop in centre offers women a place to shower, eat, sleep and let their guard down, and also provides resources for women trying to get out of the cycle of abuse.
