Horizon Health Network will not meet its self-imposed deadline to move the medical transition unit at a Fredericton hospital from an ambulance bay to a hospital ward with bathrooms and running water.
In January, the health network said some electrodiagnostic and respiratory therapy outpatient services at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital would be moved to a community location by March 31.
This would allow the medical transition unit to be moved to 4 West, an inpatient unit at the Fredericton hospital, Horizon said at the time.
