The City of Fredericton may soon move forward with a formal process for properties within a heritage preservation area to have that designation removed — something that is not laid out in current city bylaws.
“Really it’s just a governance issue for me,” Coun. Jason LeJeune said in an interview after Monday night’s council meeting.
He initially raised the question at a committee meeting in July and asked city staff to prepare a report with recommendations on a process for removal of properties from the city’s conservation areas.
