RCMP are investigating the deaths of two men whose bodies were found in a residence in rural western New Brunswick.
A news release Friday afternoon said RCMP responded at about 9:50 p.m. on Wednesday to a report of two sudden deaths on Knowlesville Road in the Carletown County community of Knowlesville.
On arrival at the residence, police found a 68-year-old man and a 74-year-old-man, both from Knowlesville, dead inside.
“The two men were known to each other, and there is no threat to public safety,” the release said.
The deaths are being treated as suspicious, and the RCMP major crime unit is assisting with the investigation.
Autopsies are scheduled to determine the exact causes of death., RCMP said.
