Charges were dropped Monday against a former municipal official in south-central New Brunswick, who had called the police on Sunbury-York South residents seeking public records.
Until her termination last summer, Marjorie Turner was the chief administrative officer of the small municipality — created under local governance reforms in 2023 — that covers Nasonworth, Rusagonis, Waasis and Charters Settlement.
Turner was facing two charges of violating the province’s Local Governance Act by failing to provide documents for examination by members of the public.
