A New Brunswick psychologist’s licence has been revoked for conduct that the regulating body said put the mental health of two children at risk.
The children, aged five and seven, had been working with Edmundston-based psychologist Richard Ouellette during a “high-conflict” family situation, according to the College of Psychologists of New Brunswick.
But after a complaint by the children’s mother, who is not named, in February the college found 14 instances where Ouellette breached professional standards.
A decision published on June 3 orders that the psychologist’s licence, registration and membership be revoked. He will not be able to re-apply until one year passes.
