The funeral for P.E.I. paramedic Jenna Croucher, 23, who died July 7 in New Brunswick, was held this morning at the Delta Hotel in Charlottetown, followed by a procession up University Avenue.
Croucher and Island paramedic Mike MacKenzie, 56, both died when their ambulance and a transport truck collided in Melrose, N.B., about 12 kilometres southwest of the Confederation Bridge near Port Elgin.
MacKenzie’s funeral is Friday afternoon at 2 p.m., also at the Delta Hotel in Charlottetown.
Anne Martell, a 77-year-old patient from Montague who was being transported in the ambulance, also died. A private service for Martell took place earlier this week.
