There have been no new cases of measles identified in New Brunswick, says the province’s chief medical officer of health, Dr. Yves Léger.

One measles case was positively identified in the Moncton area on Friday, July 10.

A public health advisory was sent out to alert people who have travelled to the following areas and were potentially exposed to the virus:

  • Passengers on the Tuesday, July 7, 9 p.m. Air Canada flight 1986 from Toronto to Moncton.
  • Those present at the Moncton airport arrivals area on Wednesday, July 8, between 12:30 a.m. and 3:10 a.m.
  • People who visited the Moncton Hospital’s emergency department on Wednesday, July 8, between 6 a.m. and noon.

Léger says contact tracing is ongoing in relation to those sites,
