Fredericton’s waterfront trails are usually busy on a sunny spring afternoon with bikes, families and people running or walking past. 

This weekend, the Casuals Club made the trail a little busier.

The group of about 50 people ran in a pack through downtown with upbeat energy, accompanied by some music.

The running club started in April as a way for young adults to meet people and find a community outside of school or the city’s bars and breweries.

“I feel like with the younger community, the only way they really go out and seek community or a sense of socializing is by going out to [bars],” said Kuenga Penjor,
