Professional modelling might not be a career choice that commonly comes to mind for someone on the East Coast.

But for a young Mi’kmaw man, it was the job he found. Or, perhaps more accurately, it was the job that found him.

He said his name means the one who travels a lot, and with his budding modelling career, he has certainly lived up to it.

Ala’suinu Bouge is originally from Listuguj First Nation in Quebec, just across the Restigouche River from Campbellton, N.B.
