The province has shared details on how a private large-animal veterinary service could work in New Brunswick after the government announced last week the public model will end.
Pat Finnigan, the minister of agriculture, aquaculture and fisheries, said veterinarians that want to open a private large-animal clinic could receive equipment from the province and help with travel.
“We have equipment that they can set up their own mobile clinic … we will support their mileage and their travel,” Finnigan told MLAs in the legislature on Friday.
