Gas prices were up eight cents a litre around New Brunswick on Friday, as the conflict in the Middle East continued to disrupt oil shipments.

“It sucks,” Bailey Jones said as she filled up her car Friday afternoon in Saint John. 

Around the province, the price of regular gas was about $1.45 a litre, although it was $1.47 a litre in Campbellton, Edmundston and Woodstock.

Fuel prices have been going up across Canada and the U.S. all week. Prince Edward Island’s regular gas prices rose six cents a litre on Wednesday and another six cents on Thursday. In Nova Scotia, prices went up nearly eight cents on Wednesday..
