Join Jericho Knopp to learn best practices for writing artist statements, biographies, and other important assets for your creative career. This hour-long lunchtime session will discuss which components make up a good artist statement, different voices and writing styles, preferred formatting, as well as tips and tricks from an experienced writer and arts professional.
The webinar will be followed by optional one-on-one sessions with Jeri, in which participants can discuss particular aspects of their existing written assets and get targeted feedback.
Jericho Knopp (she/her) is a journalist turned arts administrator based out of Saint John, New Brunswick. Sheโs worked in business, fundraising, teaching, and retail; and her work has appeared in the CBC, Civilized, Leafly, Huffington Post, the Telegraph Journal, Buzzfeed, and The Georgia Straight. She spends her spare time trying to keep up with the ever-expanding corpus of great literature, sneaking a few romance novels in between classics. She also loves exploring, embroidery and cross stitch, hiking with her greyhound, baking, and promptly devouring everything sheโs baked.
