A scheduled court appearance for a woman accused of fleeing the scene of a fatal accident near Fredericton has been pushed back by three weeks.

Vanessa Ricketson, 27, is charged in connection with the roadside death of a 19-year-old man from Norton.

She was scheduled to elect a mode of trial in Fredericton provincial court on Tuesday.

It’s alleged she left the scene after fatally striking the man, who had pulled over on the side of the Trans-Canada Highway, near Oromocto, to change a tire.
