A woman has been charged in connection with a fatal hit and run near Fredericton that killed a 19-year-old man while he was changing a tire in March.
Vanessa Ricketson, 27, of Cumberland Bay, has been charged with failure to stop at the scene of an accident resulting in death, and two counts of failure to stop at the scene of an accident resulting in bodily harm, according to a Thursday news release from the RCMP.
Police said Ricketson appeared in Fredericton Provincial Court on Tuesday.
According to the RCMP, a 19-year-old man from Norton was killed after being struck on the Trans-Canada Highway near Swans Creek, east of Oromocto, around 9:40 p.m.
