A team of students at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton have been using their spare time to finish designs and build components for an electric racecar.
The UNB Formula Racing team, a roughly 30-member student group, has its sights set on Michigan, which will host the Formula Society of Automotive Engineers competition, or Formula SAE, next June.
The team will be the first from UNB to take a car to the competition.
