Platinum Canadian recording artist Jocelyn Alice will be competing TONIGHT on NBC’s hit show Songland. Selected as one of four songwriters to pitch one of their creations to Grammy Award winning recording guest artist, H.E.R., Jocelyn’s episode of Songland will air TONIGHT, April 27th at 7:00pm ET on CityTV.
Jocelyn recently released her debut full length album, “How Dare You.” in late 2019, featuring lead track “The Dark”. The Calgarian singer-songwriter is responsible for the monumental 2015 hit “Jackpot“, and is currently charting in the Top 20 on the USA Dance Chart with “Nobody But You” – a recent collaboration between Jocelyn and electronic duo BRKLYN.
Songland is an authentic peek into the creative process of songwriting and provides one talented winner per episode with the opportunity to have their song recorded and released worldwide by chart-topping artists.
Each week one guest recording artist comes to “Songland” to hear unknown songwriters pitch their original material. Four songwriters will perform their original tracks in front of the guest artist and three of the most successful and sought-after producers in music – Ryan Tedder, Ester Dean and Shane McAnally.

- The Season Two premiere of “Songland” drew 0.9 in 18-49 with 4.7 million viewers overall. The premiere grew 13% versus last season finale in September and was the #2 most-viewed episode of the series to date, behind only the series premiere in May 2019.
- The Season Two premiere episode featured five-time Grammy Award-winning country-pop trio Lady Antebellum. The winning song, “Champagne Night,” ranked #1 on the iTunes Overall Chart and # 1 on the iTunes Country Chart. The music video for “Champagne Night” also ranked #1 on iTunes.
- “Songland” has produced multiple chart-topping hits including eight songs that achieved a #1 ranking on an iTunes music chart.
- In 2019, “Songland” was the #1 new alternative series of the summer in 18-49 and total viewers.
- “Songland” is executive produced by Emmy Award-winning producer Audrey Morrissey (“The Voice”), director Ivan Dudynsky, Eurythmics co-founder and Songwriter Hall of Fame inductee Dave Stewart, Chad Hines, and multi-Grammy-winning recording artist and Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine. Josh Gummersall will serve as producer along with Ryan Tedder. The concept was devised by Stewart, Morrissey and Dudynsky.
Jocelyn and fellow Canadian artist Mathew V recently teamed up on pop hit “Missing Me”, and have just released the remix for the song last week.
