Fredericton police say a 16-year-old boy has been charged after the electric dirt bike he was operating collided with a city bus.
The collision with the Fredericton Transit bus happened at about 2:45 p.m. on Sunday where the Northside Trail crosses McKeen Street in the South Devon area, a news release said.
The teen was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and later charged, the release said.
“The investigation determined that the rider failed to stop at the trail crossing before entering the roadway and was subsequently struck by the bus,” the release said.
The teen was charged under the Motor Vehicle Act with operating an uninsured vehicle, failing to yield when entering a roadway,
