The operators of a summer camp where an alleged sexual assault of a minor took place this summer “took immediate action” upon learning of the allegation, according to a statement from the owner of the camp, the United Church of Canada. 

Executive minister Rev. Faith March-MacCuish said the church was “deeply concerned” by the report of an alleged assault at Camp Ta-Wa-Si, which is an independently operated ministry owned by the church.

“We understand that, upon learning of the investigation, Camp Ta-Wa-Si took immediate action,” wrote March-MacCuish,
