Saint John council is revamping its standing committees, the place where work on many city matters is done before recommendations come to council.
At Monday’s regular meeting, council approved creating two new committees — quality of life and service and operations — and dropping the growth committee.
“This would give the opportunity to put more focus on service levels like the winter management plan and also positive quality of life examinations at the committee level,” Ian Fogan, the city’s chief administrative officer, said as he presented the proposed changes to council.
