A prominent Saint John-area lawyer is facing a disciplinary hearing after a complaint was filed with the Law Society of New Brunswick.
No information about the nature of the complaint against William (Bill) H. Teed, of Rothesay has been released.
But it has been referred to the regulatory body’s discipline committee, Joleen Dable, registrar of complaints and deputy executive director, told CBC News.
“We are in the process of preparing the Notice of Complaint (Form 22), which will set out the allegations,” she said.
Dable could not estimate how long it will take, but once finalized, it will be posted on the law society’s website, she said, noting complainants are never identified.
Teed will then have 20 days to file a response, which will also be posted, Dable said.
