A former Riverview basketball coach who filmed players and shared images online has been approved to leave prison for two months.

The Parole Board of Canada has approved Nickerson taking a 60-day unescorted temporary absence “for personal development for rehabilitative purposes.”
Nickerson was sentenced in April 2021 after pleading guilty to 32 charges, including possessing, accessing, publishing and distributing child pornography. The Criminal Code of Canada was amended to change the terms to “child sexual abuse and exploitation material” last year.
Nickerson also admitted charges of voyeurism and sexual interference.
