Police are investigating following an incident with youths that possibly involved a weapon during a football game in Moncton on Friday night.
RCMP Cpl. Luc Picard wrote in an email that Codiac RCMP members responded around 8 pm to a disturbance involving several youths at a football game at École L’Odyssée.
“During the altercation, one of the individuals involved displayed what was believed to be a weapon,” Picard wrote.
“No injuries were reported as a result of the incident. The suspect fled the area before police arrived, and officers are actively pursuing investigative leads to identify and locate the individual.”
Picard said the investigation is ongoing.
