Introducing HomeschoolToGo (homeschooltogo.org), co-founded by Houlie Duque, a recent Planet Hatch newcomer accelerator program graduate. HomeschoolToGo is an easy-to-use platform designed to help you integrate holistic learning into a flexible lifestyle.
Holistic education means that our programs go beyond core academics. We cover emotional development, creative and critical thinking, manners, conflict resolution, character development, connection to nature, etc. The curriculums are currently available in English and Spanish (with French to be released soon).
Our easy-to-use programs are ideal for first-time homeschoolers because we fulfill curriculum standards across all provinces and develop lesson plans with videos, stories and activity books week by week.
HomeschoolToGo welcomes you into a community of like-minded families around the world. It provides one-on-one coaching for parents who want to offer a high-quality education alternative to their children at home.
Houlie is a marketing director, actress and teacher with 10+ years of experience in Colombia and the US. Though she was always passionate about teaching, she was troubled that she couldn’t give each student what they needed to develop their potential due to the teacher/student ratio and the lack of parent involvement.
“I always knew I would homeschool my own, and after the birth of my child last year and the pandemic, I decided it was time to bring this project to life,” Houlie says. She also takes care of the marketing and develops all the media content, including the Movement Mindfulness Program and Accelerate Reading Program (translated into Spanish and French).
Other co-founders include Courtnay Gillingwater, an elementary teacher here in NB. She’s in charge of developing the activity books and auditing our curriculum to fulfill the standards of each Canadian province. Pascal McCarthy, a part-owner, has start-up experience and a master’s degree in tech management. He’s responsible for business operations, planning and tech development.
