An independent police watchdog agency says it found “no reasonable grounds” that a New Brunswick RCMP officer committed a criminal offence in the death of a man killed in a police-involved shooting in Moncton last September.
The Serious Incident Response Team was called in to investigate after an RCMP officer shot and killed the man after an hours-long confrontation with police on Sept. 27.
The team is responsible for investigating all matters that involve death because of the actions of a police officer.
