A man accused of stabbing an RCMP officer in the head pleaded guilty Thursday to aggravated assault.
Edva Mascary, now 36, admitted assaulting Const. Marc-Antoine Latouche, an RCMP officer who responded to a dispute between Mascary and his roommate at a Moncton home last August.
Mascary also pleaded guilty to the assault of a second officer, Const. Alyssa Williams, who also responded to the incident on Fairisle Drive.
Mascary agreed to enter into a peace bond with a former roommate and not to contact him directly or indirectly for 12 months.
In total, Mascary faced eight charges.
Three charges have been stayed, two are covered by the peace bond,
