Voters will soon go to the polls in municipal elections across New Brunswick, and one coalition in Moncton is trying to provide insight into candidates and their plans for active transportation.
The Active Transportation Coalition of Moncton released a survey for candidates, asking them a list of questions around the topic of public transportation and roads that support pedestrians and cyclists.
“Streets in Moncton are at a turning point,” group spokesperson Calvin Martini told CBC Radio’s Information Morning Moncton.
“We could have streets mostly for cars or we can have streets that are safe for everybody.”
Questions in the survey are geared towards changes the coalition is advocating for,
