A man whose home was the scene of a fatal home invasion near Moncton last year has been acquitted of multiple gun and drug charges.

Andrew Minifie was supposed to stand trial in Moncton provincial court beginning Wednesday on charges including possessing firearms for a dangerous purpose.

In response, defence lawyer Stan MacDonald, who spoke over the phone in court, sought the dismissal of all charges.

“I will find the defendant not guilty on all of the charges,” Assignon replied.
