The two Fredericton Police officers who were killed in a 2018 shooting are now memorialized in one of the most visible parts of the city.
Known as The Guardian monument, a pier of the old Carleton Street bridge in the middle of the St. John River will be illuminated blue every night to remember Constables Sara Burns and Robb Costello.
They were killed while trying to help Donald Adam Robichaud and Bobbie Lee Wright, who also died in the shooting on Aug. 10, 2018 on the city’s north side.
