A Moncton man who took part in a planned home invasion and robbery that ended in the shooting death of an 18-year-old has pleaded guilty. 

Jerek John England, 27, stood in a Moncton courtroom Tuesday afternoon just days before his trial was set to start on a manslaughter charge. 

“Guilty,” England said after a judge read the charges he was admitting.

He pleaded guilty to the lesser charges of conspiracy to commit robbery and to being an occupant of a motor vehicle knowing there was a restricted firearm. 

England was the last of six people facing trial related to the death of Joedin Lloyd Leger on April 25,
