Saint John police presented a man charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder with three possible scenarios after he was arrested.
One was that Stephen Martin cleaned up the Jeep in which Allan Lee was shot and killed because he was “helping people out,” Sgt. Tony Gilbert, of the major crime unit, suggested when he interviewed Martin on Dec. 16, 2024.
The second was that Martin owned the Jeep and wanted to “get rid of evidence ’cause … I don’t [want to] get linked to this,” Gilbert put to the accused.
“Or another option is you felt kind of pressured,” Gilbert said,
