Dorion is gearing up to release her final single of 2023 titled “Unlove You”, an edgy, Rock fuelled, imagined anthem about walking away from an unfaithful partner on Friday, October 13, 2023.
“Unlove You” was written by Desiree Dorion and Alex Seier during a writing trip to Nashville, TN, and was produced by longtime collaborator, Chris Burke-Gaffney.

About “Unlove You”:
A Country-Rock dose of confidently moving on, “Unlove You” is an explosive combination of a searing electric guitar, classic Country riffs, and piercing storytelling. With a razor sharp edge, Dorion tells an envisioned tale of deceit and its aftermath, pouring melodic gasoline on an unfaithful partner. Written in Nashville, TN with Alex Seier (Jesse James Decker), the songwriters conceptualized the account of the deceived, tough-as-nails companion who has no trouble saying goodbye to their cheating partner. Opening with the command of a fading electric guitar, Dorion’s lower vocal register immediately steers the overall mood of the song to an empowered anthem as she delivers lyrics of refusal to be somebody’s fool. With its blazing chorus, “Unlove You” ascends into a catchy, stadium-sized tune that showcases Dorion’s versatility as both a songwriter and vocalist on the searing final track of her sixth studio album.
Quote:
“Anyone who has been following my career knows that I don’t shy away from difficult lyrical topics. That said, I wanted to show a sassier, less serious side of myself. This song is empowering and fun, which is a side of me that I wanted to showcase.” – Desiree Dorion
