A man still on the run after RCMP say he escaped a jail northeast of Moncton earlier this month was previously charged with nine weapon-related charges, including carrying a restricted handgun and possessing a knife for dangerous purposes, court documents reveal.
Todd John Lewis, of Moncton, jumped the fence of the Southeast Regional Correctional Centre in Shediac the evening of Feb. 12 and fled on foot toward nearby Route 15, according to RMCP.
Police said they were informed of the escape more than six hours after it happened,
