There are many ways we can live more sustainably at home this fall. One of the best is being conscious of where we get our food and how we use it. Shopping for fruits and veggies at the farmers’ market is a great way to support local food growers!

When carving pumpkins, you can limit food waste by saving the seeds for a recipe and composting the rest. The seeds have a lot of nutritional value and are delicious with some added spices!
Another way to decrease our food waste is by using fallen apples in cooking. Many people discard apples that have touched the ground, but they’re still so flavorful in apple crisp, apple pie, or apple sauce, even with some imperfections!
