Julia Reid, 32, set out to beat the world record for indoor stroller running on Feb. 28 at the Gagetown Fitness Centre in Oromocto. (Submitted by Julia Reid)
A Fredericton mother may have made her way into the record books as the world’s fastest indoor stroller runner, with her 17-month old daughter along for the ride.
Julia Reid finished the one-kilometre run Feb. 28 with a time of three minutes and 17 seconds.
That beats the current record of three minutes and 35 seconds, but Reid is still waiting for confirmation from Guinness World Records.
The 32-year-old, who has been running competitively for three years, came up with the idea to try and beat the world record less than a year ago.
