In this course students can expect to build on the skills and techniques learned from the introduction to wheel throwing course. Students will learn how to throw more complex forms such as wine goblets, bottles and vases and manipulate their forms on the wheel. Decorating techniques including adding attachments, carving, sgraffito and using slips will be taught. The final class will include a glazing workshop in which students will dip their bisque fired work into glazes formulated and mixed by the instructor. All firings will be done by the instructor.
Classes are Tuesday evenings from 6pm to 9pm for six weeks starting September 26th.
