A dramatic video circulating online showing the tanker-truck accident and petroleum spill that has closed the eastbound lanes of Highway 1 near Hampton for several days appears to be genuine, according to a CBC News analysis of the footage.

Charbel Awad, New Brunswick’s deputy environment minister, said he has not seen the footage but said anyone who knows anything about the accident should share it with investigators.
