Craft NB is excited to announce the opening of a landmark exhibition celebrating over six decades of craftsmanship and artistic excellence. Hosted at the renowned George Fry Gallery, this special showcase opens Thursday, October 10, from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, highlighting a diverse collection from Craft NB’s permanent collection.
The exhibition will feature an array of handcrafted pieces that reflect the evolution of New Brunswick’s vibrant craft community. Visitors can expect to explore a wide variety of works, each representing the artistic journey and skill of New Brunswick’s craftspeople, from traditional to contemporary practices.
“In celebrating 60 years as an organization, we are proud to showcase this collection, much of which has been unseen for years,” said Christina Foster, Executive Director of Craft NB. “This is an opportunity to reflect on our rich history while inspiring the next generation of artisans through the extraordinary talent of our membership.”
The exhibition was made possible with support from the City of Fredericton Art, Culture & Heritage funding grant. The opening reception invites the community to join us for an evening of artistic appreciation at the George Fry Gallery. All are welcome, and light refreshments will be provided.
