For some visitors, the best way to experience New Brunswick’s fall colours is to leave the ground behind.
At Crabbe Mountain, that meant climbing aboard a ski chairlift over Thanksgiving weekend, dangling above the treetops as the autumn landscape unfolded across the surrounding hills and valleys.
The mountain’s annual Fall Festival of Colours wrapped up Sunday, offering visitors a chance to explore the slopes, take in the scenery and enjoy seasonal activities.
For Kim and Anna Keenan, who travelled from Saint John, the experience was a first.
“You can just sit and look at all the leaves around you,” Anna said, adding that riding above the forest canopy offered a unique view compared to hiking a trail.
