A Moncton man accused in a dangerous driving case will next appear in court on Nov. 27. (CBC)
The case of dangerous driving in connection with a fatal crash on Berry Mills Road in early October was before Moncton provincial court on Friday morning.
Dominique Marshall, 25, is facing two counts of dangerous driving causing death and two counts of dangerous driving causing bodily injury. He wasn’t present in court and designated his lawyer, Jason Dempsey, to appear on his behalf.
In the brief hearing, a Crown attorney explained that all four charges Marshall is facing will be tried as indictable offenses. This means they could carry a harsher penalty and that Marshall could elect to be tried by a judge and jury rather than a judge alone.
